Things are now moving along with our new site, we have a temporary storage container sited and the fencing in place. Fundraising is gathering pace with someone appointed to apply for grants.

There is a scheme to sponsor a metre square of the foundations – details on the website - and events being planned for the autumn.

On the Scouting front we have just come back from our annual Group Camp. This year we camped at the Lowestoft Scouts site, Herringfleet, near Fritton Lake.

14 leaders and 62 members ranging from 6 year old Beavers to 17 year old Explorers spent the early May Bank Holiday weekend camping and taking part in activities including, camp cooking, air rifle shooting, archery, climbing, water activities, boat rides, hiking, backwoods cooking, visit to Redwings and camp fire.

At the end of May a party of Scouts and Explorers and 3 Leaders are attending the Norfolk County Water Activities Weekend on the Broads. The 3 day event will see around 200 Scouts enjoying camping and taking part in a range of water and land based activities.

All sections have an extensive outdoor programme for the summer term culminating in the Explorers going on a hiking camp in the Peak District and the Scouts attending an international jamboree called NORJAM on the Norfolk showground.
