Stradbroke Triathlon

20th and 21st MAY. Stradbroke Triathlon 2017.

We’re looking for loads of volunteers (young people from all sections, leaders, parents, guardians, grandparents, uncles, aunties, friends) to help raise some cash for the new Scout Hall.

We are looking for BBQ chefs (or anyone willing to give it a go), Marshalling people (big and small) and water station helpers (some Beavers and their parents did a brilliant job last year).

It would also be good to have a few people as PR people to inform the public about of plans. Last year we raised quite a lot of money but we missed loads of opportunities mainly due to only a few of us being involved.

What's in it for us?
  • The opportunity to raise funds for the new Scout Hall, climbing wall, shooting and archery range. The more we raise the quicker we can build it and enjoy it

  • A subsidised session at Fritton Lake later in the summer - maybe tree climbing or kayaking. Young people who help out will have the first opportunity to sign up

  • An opportunity to tell the community about our Scout group, our plans for a new Scout hall and maybe recruit some more people to join us (especially Adult leaders)

  • It's FUN. Parents meet other parents, leaders etc

  • Helping the community and being part of the community

  • If young people help out it counts towards your badges

  •
