During June we have been busy making good use of the lighter evenings with a wide range of activities. We visited Stradbroke Fire Station where Wolf Cubs and Warrior Beavers got a bit damp! Went crabbing at Walberswick where Pioneer Troop Scouts got a bit muddy, have been gardening in our new allotment area where Squirrels planted Runner Beans. We have built water filters where Tiger Cubs turned muddy water clear and Ninja Beavers have worked on Fitness and Health with ball games. Explorers have been cycling-checking out the local lanes. Wolves Cubs had a water fight and their Leaders got very wet and Ninja Beavers modelled fruit and veg to make edible monsters.
We opened the HQ site for the Fressingfield Open Gardens weekend and most sections joined in with the village Scarecrow Festival by building scarecrows for display around our site for the weekend.
Leaders have been busy planning summer activities. Over the summer holidays the Adventurers Scouts and Explorers are going to the Peak District camping and hill walking for a week, Pioneer Troop Scouts will be at Winterton on Sea for five days of camping, hiking, beach activities and relaxing. Wolves Cubs have a weekend camp at Two Mile Bottom campsite near Thetford and Tigers Cubs are spending a day canoeing on the Waveney at Beccles.
This may not be one of the world's greatest literary works, but we think at least one of your friends or family would be interested in reading it! Please share below to help spread the amazing things 1st Fressingfield do.
